About

The Jennifer Sterling Brown Animal Rescue of Holmes County (JSBAR) is a 501(c)3 organization founded in 2017 for the rescue, vet care, fostering and placement of homeless animals in Holmes County with offices located in Lexington, MS.

Jennifer Sterling Brown of Lexington, Mississippi was a pioneer in recognizing that Holmes County had a problem with homeless animals. It was Jennifer’s personal mission to try and find a safe home for our homeless and defenseless animals in Holmes County.  She rescued many strays and went above and beyond to ensure that the animals she fostered went to safe, loving families. Jennifer’s love of animals lives on through JSBAR and we dedicate our organization to providing a safe and welcoming environment for the homeless animals in Holmes County.
